If you’re already a fan of EOTech’s fast, rugged EXPS2 Holographic Weapon Sight for .223/5.56mm AR’s, listen up. Brownells has made it better. You get EOTech’s well-known 65 MOA circular reticle with “quadrant ticks” at 12, 3 and 9 o’clock and two 1-MOA dots, but Brownells’ version leaves the bottom of the circle open from about 5 to 7 o’clock. Rising from low 6 o’clock is a “T,” forming a pedestal. The two dots are for zeros at 50/200 and 500 yards, but as you know, this can be disastrously wrong at true CQB distance, and you have to consider the bore-height to dot-height differential. With the T-Dot reticle, at ranges from across the room to across the street, just perch your target point on top of the T and squeeze. It’s very fast and intuitive.
All the other EXPS2 attributes are there: unlimited eye relief, rapid ranging with the 65-MOA circle, .5 MOA windage and elevation adjustments, side-mounted fingertip-controlled on/off and brightness buttons, long runtimes on its single lithium battery and much more. List price is $549.99. For more info: //americancop.com/company/eotech/
