I attended the IACP Conference in Orlando, Fla. where every kind of cop gear, technology and service provider was represented. Among the sea of vendors was Motorola — a heavy-hitter in the increasingly high-tech world of policing.
Long recognized and trusted in the law enforcement community, Motorola’s hardware is tops. They have a long-standing commitment to officer safety and solid support of cops everywhere. Some might believe the gremlins at Motorola could slow down and rest on past accomplishments — but they don’t.
Motorola was ready to impress with a huge array of bright, shiny, new gear. New stuff doesn’t excite me for the mere fact it’s new; I get excited when I can see an effort to consolidate the vast array of techno-gadgets crammed into the average police car. Motorola’s making great strides in this area with three impressive products: a new mobile computer/keyboard, video system and radio control head.
