It’s a basic folding knife with a thumb stud and a short blade. Kershaw’s Barge also includes a prying edge for, well, prying stuff. And that makes it eminently useful.

Despite a tiny thumb stud, it’s fairly easy to manipulate and open…
The pry is not sharp, at least not like a blade, but it does have a serious edge to it. As it should.
A strong pocket clip keeps the Barge point down and pry end down. Very handy.
