Small and thin guns like the Ruger LC9s are great for IWB carry. But they’re also great for OWB carry, provided your OWB holster isn’t too OWB. One OWB that gets it right  — meaning close in and stable — is the Detroit Concealment eXfil Standard holster with a “FrogWing” flat loop in the back. Starting at $55 and available in a variety of cants, loops, and other configurations, the eXfil excels because it doesn’t try to do too much. But what it does do, it does very well. Check it out…

Gun and holster. The Ruger LC9s offers 7+1 of 9mm in a slim and light design — easy to shoot and exceptionally accurate. It carries well in just about any holster. But it carries great in the Detroit Concealment eXfil.

Simple, no-nonsense. Strong and tough as nails. eXfil offers two different belt loops — the back one flat to aid in concealment. And it does. I can adjust the cant by moving forward loop up or down. But I like it right here which is virtually a straight drop.

The carrier is thin and light but strong and perfectly mated to the LC9s. The gun clicks in and out positively and you can adjust the tension to your preference.

Do you carry a thin and light gun OWB? If so, let me know about it in the comments below or text me at 248-328-2538. Also, please let me know if you have any questions about the Detroit Concealment eXfil…
